This summer North Carolina Esports Academy has been heavily involved with the community and local school system. We have supported various efforts with pop-ups, field trips to our location, and internships.
We continue to execute our mission of “Developing the future workforce through education, and enhancing education in the community.”
Internship Opportunities
This summer we hosted internships for students in the Wake County Public School System, UNC Upward Bound, and students from William Peace University Game Design and Simulation.
As we mentioned in our last blog post, there is a large gap between the 200,000 unemployed in the state and the more than 400,000 job vacancies, especially in the IT and tech industries. Our internships are aimed to develop students for a future in the workforce and help prepare NC’s future job pipeline.
Community Events
North Carolina Esports Academy also operated pop-ups for Empower All non-profit at The Factory co-working space in Raleigh and field trips for the YMCA of the Triangle, City of Raleigh, and the Town of Holly Springs. Lastly, we were a business partner for District C accelerated Coaching Institute.
Community involvement is something we feel strongly about and will continue to make an impact in the Triangle and beyond.
