North Carolina Esports Academy is a character building and youth development organization that takes an activity children love (video games) and turns it into a positive and productive experience integrating fun teamwork, education, and creativity.

Studies show that playing video games encourages critical thinking, improves motor skills and promotes key social skills like leadership and team building. They’re also effective tools for teaching educational skills like algebra, biology and coding, as gaming helps to deepen learning and understanding.

Within our workshops, camps, and teams the students are given an instructor who guides them through different skills of the games while teaching our core values and soft skills such as being punctual, working hard, having good sportsmanship, etc.

Both video games and esports offer many educational components. We use games that kids love to teach STEM education and life skills. 

We have many games available to play including all of your child’s favorites like Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox.

Yes. All stations are equipped with keyboard and mice. Controllers can be connected using a USB cord. Our controllers come at a first come, first serve basis. During camps our controllers cost $2/day to use.

Yes. We currently offer youth teams which take place in the spring and fall.

We have a variety of programs for youth in K12. Birthday parties, group events and tournaments can be any age. Camps are 1st-8th grade. Our youth teams vary depending on the activity. Please check the appropriate page to find the age group for the specific activity.
